Our director, Alex Ketchum, PhD, is the Faculty Lecturer of the Institute for Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies of McGill University. She organizes the Joint Initiative for Digital Citizen Research SSHRC funded, Feminist and Accessible Publishing and Communications Technologies Speaker and Workshop Series.


This lab is supported by Ketchum's multi-year SSHRC Insight Grant: Digital Queers, TechnoDykes, Hi-Tech Gays, and Lavender Bytes: A History of Canadian, American, and British LGBTQ+ Cyber Activism 1992-Present. The lab was previously supported by her SSHRC Insight Grant: Disrupting Disruptions: The Challenge of Feminist and Accessible Publishing and Communications Technologies 1965-present.
